i had my front pads changed today. the dash light came on a couple of weeks ago and my MoT was due today so i had them changed. the bloke at the garage (not bmw) said the rear pads were a touch low but in no need of a change. so anyway, the fronts have been changed and the dash light has not gone out. the invoice does include 'warning cable sensors' and he assured me the sensors were changed. is there anyway the light can be manually turned off. or does the car think the rears still need doing even though they don't need doing yet? any ideas on this please.

james

PS sorry for the babbling.

After the sensor has been changed the ignition must turned on for 30 secs without starting the engine to reset the light.  Or maybe the rear pad sensor has worn through?
