My car had a smart repair done at a main dealer before christmas. It wasn't bad enough that it looked awful, but I noticed the other day that there's actually some over spray on the corners of the headlights. I hadn't seen it before because the car has plastic light protectors fitted. Does anyone know an easy way of removing the overspray without damaging the lenses, which are made of plastic.

The car is not a BMW BTW

Hi Peter, I don't really think it would be safe to use any chemical paint removers as whatever removes the paint is likely to attack the plastic. I would say to just use a resin type polish like Autoglym but it will probably take some time and a bit of elbow grease. Sorry thats not exactly easy but it would be safe.  Good luck  Steve.

Yep, the meguiars site does a clay bar variant which removes overspray.  Try the shop at www.meguiars.co.uk

take it back, and use a very loud, upset voice. alternativly, use g3 advanced liquid, and some standard polishing cloth. its great. autoglym is great, but the super resin stuff isnt going to cut it (so to speak).
