Looking for a decent mechanic near Hitchin?

   Hey,
Recently moved to Hitchin, which is about 10 miles east of Luton, and as I don't know any local garages/mechanics I was hoping some good word of mouth advice might be found on here. 
I've got 1997 E36, 318iS, nothing fancy, but it needs a decent servicing, I've been moving all over for the last year and just recently settled down so the car needs a bit of TLC. And I don't know much about cars, just that I like BMW's!  So I don't want to get screwed over.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
