E34 clutch change

   As per this thread I've been offered a 530 by a mate with a knackered clutch, so now I'm contemplating changing a clutch in his front garden on a rainy saturday morning..

How much fun can this be? Anything I should be aware of before pulling his car to bits?  As well as a fairly expensive clutch kit, is there anything else that will need looking at while I'm under there - release bearing, or somesuch..???
