with the carpet, i washed my first e30 one. I dried it over a week, and it still needed more. then it stank of dodgy feet for a whole month after (i think the water went stagnant!).

mine had a leaky heater valve which soaked the passenger side footwell, one of the early cars with the heater valve inside the dash. Yours is probs in the engine bay though??

took about two weeks with it balanced on a radiator to dry the foam out, still wasn't dry but it was dry enough for me

I have heard that the bottom corners of the windscreen seal can leak, no details though

I was thinking more along the line of sunroof pipe? The pipes that come from the sunroof tray. In the e30 these were problematic. Difficult to get to though.

lol, its loud enough thanks to me 6 branch, k&n and twin box system!!

ive had the carpet out for a week with the foam backing out on the lawn in the sun (when its been sunny).

at least i can say i can have a peformace gain from drying it out!!! all the water made it weigh a ton!!!  if any one kows the classic spot for leakage on the bulkhead then enlighten me!
