ALPINA ALLOYS ON MY 6

   I have bought as set of genuine 17" Alpina alloys for my 89 635csi Motorsport ed.
The problem is i am not so sure they will fitSynter gave me a call this morning saying the the wheels i have are not suitable for e24 due to the offset.
I have had a chat with fritzs bits and they have told me i should have no trouble.
They are 8 1/2 all round
235/45/17 ET14
265/40/17 ET14
The wheels are in great condition and would love to have them fitted but i dont fancy them rubbing on the springs etc.
Can anybody let me know 100% where i stand with regards to fitting them.
