I got an e36 320i but i dont know weather or not to debadge it cos its like the middle one isnt it, if it said 316 or 318 i would deff remove it, but if it said 325 or 328 i would deff leave it on, as its the 320i some thingsmake me wana remove it to make people wonder if its a big 325 or 328 but i dont want people thinking its only a baby, is 320 good enought to boast which is what a badge does

Does it realy matter? It has a BMW badge on it. The engine size isn't realy an issue IMHO but I have to admit, I'm quite happpy having a 1.8ti (which is more powerful than my old 320i) - the de-chromed look is quite nice. It's when you start putting ///M 3 badges on a 316i that things start going wrong

Why not post some pics?

Doesnt matter what people think your car is.

Be-badge it if you think it'll make it look nicer...

But remember, if you debadge it and ever want to put them pack on, you'll _never_ make them look straight again!!

Me and my wonky 323i know this!!

Don't debadge it. Most owners of the larger engined cars leave the badges on (webdunk excepted) so if you take them off it will just make people think you have a 316/318. Also the 320 has a single exhaust and the 325/328 both have a twin pipes so anyone in the know will not be fooled into thinking you have a bigger engine anyway.

Only if people think you have less power than you actually do. Otherwise you can just end up looking silly.

my e36 and e46 were debadged by their previous owners, i think it suited them more

the alpina has badges and i keep them on, it's the only way i can let other drivers know it's not a "normal" 5-series

Which is why it was so much fun when I rebadged my M5 as a 520i!!

My 528i is debadged and can surprise the odd boy racer when they come flying up behind in there chavmobiles as i leave them standing!!

I have thought about replacing the badge but like it has been said i dont want a wonky badge, rather leave it as it is.

I think most people respect the 320. They know its a six cylinder. It is a good engine, smooth and powerful. I'd leave them on. If I see a de badged BMW or Merc I always think its the bottom of the range model. The 320 certainly isn't that.
