Can anyone solve this problem?

it only happens in the mornings, ie when its cold!  it starts first time on the key then dies straight away, then will not start for ages just keeps turning over!  im thinking it could be the cold start valve or could it be a fuel problem?  ive checked the ignition system and thats all ok?    also when it is running ive noticed that its lacking power at low revs in first and second feels lumpy when you put your foot down! (when you rev it quickly sounds like missfireing, but not quite)

well what the hells all that about,

beyond me......

please help!

Could be Air flow meter, MAF unit or what ever you call it, sits on top of the air box, ally casting with large diameter rubber pipe going to intake manifold.

My 318is started to play up in the cold earlier this year, quick trip to the breakers and £50 lighter the car is running fine! Take note of the Bosch number on top of the air flow meter and give your breaker a call...

Assuming this is the problem! If your any where near me in Dorset / Hampshire you'r welcome to borrow my Peake Diagnostic tool to see what fault codes it throws up.

Good luck

Someone left a note on my windscreen. It read 'Parking Fine' that was nice

It also may be time for a new dizzy cap and rotor.
