I have a 1999 323se (e46) is there a release button for the petrol flap or do you just pull it open with your fingers? also, same question about boot release, is there one inside the car?

daft questions i know, but if i don't ask i'll never know!

Cheers

Push on the petrol flap and it will open. If I am not mistaken push on the end closest to the front of the car.

No flames. lol. I think they were just wondering if the boot had an internal release. Now the petrol flap I am not sure about. I have to admit I looked like Clark Griswald with the family truckster trying to find the petrol cap on a new transit van once. lol.

Knew how to open boot but just wondered if there was a release in the car. as for the petrol flap, my old car had a manual release in the boot incase the central locking jammed. just wondered if the bmw had something similar

i could have sworn that my e46 had a button for the petrol flap, maybe i'm getting confused with my e36 (senility seems to be setting in at the ripe old age of 30... bit worrying, that....)
