Killian and the team: Well done, chaps!

Superb work at getting it all back up and running again so quickly!

FWIW, I wrote an email today to Andrew Dale expressing my displeasure at the way the club has handled the whole affair...
Doubt it will have any impact, but I am stunned to hear that they "stole" your domain name.

Sounds like a job for the domain name registrar!

Hi all,

since buying my 99 E39 520i 3 months ago I have been an avid "lurker" of these forums. There are the most valuable source of accurate and useful information in this part of the world.

I was toying with the idea of registering and joining "the club". Now let me think about joining "the club" - eh no.

However as you can see I have registered for the real forum! I have done this for a number of reasons :

1) to show my support for this forum

2) to point out that "the club" has definitely lost a potential member

3) I did not feel it was appropriate to remain viewing these forums unregistered over the coming months seeing as bandwidth usage is such a potential costly issue for the forum administrator.

Great work Killian - I hope this remains such a useful resource.

Hi Mowgli, and welcome. Type avatars into google and you'll find some sites with good ones.  I think all the sites ones are rubbish at this stage.

Neither, they are on The Pit Wall (From the advert shown on ITV during the F1 Races?)

Don't have ITV.   Haven't seen an F1 race in a year and a half. Have to wait 'til Duke Video bring out the season review.

Thank God....I was getting worried there for a bit!!!!

Well done to K and the team, it cant have been easy to juggle this along with your work/private life!  Many people would've just gone 'F!&k it' and left it at that.  Well done again.  Looking forward to seeing you at the karting so i can tell you in person.

Well done to all involved in the change.
As a frequent lurker and infrequent poster I'm glad that you have stood your ground and done the right thing.
"Hostile Takeover" was the phrase that came to mind recently.

Anyway, well done and keep up the good work.
