Thanks guys, but I think I have a better one now given time to think about it.
What dya think?
Inverted fan in BMW Roundell, isn't a copyright issue...
Proper fans behind the logo..quite aproppriate really
Bit big at the moment but can be reduced..later

I think that looks rather good, as long as your sure there isn't a copyright issue.
Don't forget were not talking normal usage here, J & A will take great delight in reporting anything we do, so we will need to be extra squeaky clean.

Nigel, not really sure but is there any way of finding out?
There were loads of fake roundell on ebay a while ago from the asia, so I've just assumed this would be ok..Plus, I have manually made this logo up so dimensions etc are different to Original.

I like that one Rossis. I will flag it with BMW anyhow just to prevent any feelings of obligation by JH to grass on me for using copyright material!

I like the design, but I think it may cause problems as it is a variation of the theme - they could possibly argue the font style, the rear roundel .... I like the thinking though
Personally, I think would prefer a banner (600 * 200) to go along the top of the page (as in the previous design) - this will mean we could get more onto a page and will loke better proportioned?

Looks good, tho' I do like the idea of a baner accross the top as NeRo suggested.

heres my effort .. simple but differs from the orignal rondell ..
obviously the slogan could be changed at the bottom as i know there was an issue using 'THE ULTIMATE'
the overall design you guys decide would be good to be used as a sticker aswell so everyone has the same logo/lettering etc..
so something simple and effective would make a good sticker aswell as forum logo ..

like the idea of the roundel with the map in the middle instead of the propellar.

I think the variations on the Roundel look far better than the banner format. RossiS one is very clever in terms of skirting copyrights.. clever enough though?

am liking that duncan ... looks better without 'the ultimate' on it ..
they would make good stickers for the car , on a tranperant surface instead of white so you get the model of your car and logo
would look good on the back quarters ..

I like the idea of the banner witrh the outlines on it. The appropriate one can be shown on the appropriate tech page and for other pages they could be alternated. I guess for the Irish/Scottish/anywhere else, they could be customised, unless you want to keep the old logo and use the current board as your regions board, in which case you are welcome to use the logo if you want.

Rossis's logo looks good, but in my view, there's no way we'll get away with that.
Killian, I have spoken to someone at BMW UK about this reasonably recently. I can do so again if it would assist?

I'll see. We may not need permission (AFAIK) if we are not using a roundel. I suppose if they were willing to give permission to use the roundel/name in the future it would be great. Thanks.
