I have noticed that when pushed over to the right the gear lever in my car sticks slightly and sometimes requires a little tap to get it to re-centralise. Its' fine in the other direction and the spring still feels nice and strong. Has anyone ever had this before and if so it is just in need of a bit of lubrication or is this an excuse to buy a quick shift kit?

I tried having a look but it's burried under loads of insulation etc.
