After all my talk, I think a potential buyer of my car is coming up on sunday. What time do you reckon you'd be heading home at alex?

Come along reckless. It'll be fun. Just hide the crutches and hop to the car.

Cool, this is encouraging. I'll see if I can make it, would like a spin in "flying" alex's m3 :) Someone might be coming to buy my car that day though, so that would have to take precedence. Thanks lads.

My foot was ze broken, nearly healed at this stage, cast is off. Cannot put weight on it yet, hence the crutches. They'll know I have crutches if they see me crutching it over to the car :)

I dont see why not if you have a helmet on.........how will they know you have crutches?

Anyway, if someone has an off thats significant enough to cause the type of deformation of the car that would cause leg injuries, it probably won't matter....you are going to have far more severe injuries than a mere broken leg.......and anyway, your leg is already broken so whats the problem?

Driving Safety

One of the things that everybody respects is the overtaking on the straights rule.

But when the driver of a faster in straight line car does not acknowledge that there are other drivers faster in corners or later on the brakes than him, this leads to a queue of frustrated drivers, so if you are in this situation, back off on the straight, move well out of the way and let the quicker drivers through. You will then have an opportunity to see the driving lines and braking points of the quicker drivers.

We do not want to have to bring people in for overtaking on the brakes. It may be the way it is done in racing, but NOT on track days. Equally we do not want to have to bring people in for creating traffic jams! Find your own space there are 2.2 miles of track for you to enjoy.

School Girl? Really?

Can't wait myself. Should be a fun day. Is anybody meeting up afterwards?

Also a reminder about the money people owe towards the Killian fund from the karting day in Mondello last month. It's not much, but if you don't pay up I'll break your legs. (Well okay not your legs, but I'll break your wiper blades).

just a quick comment on whats dangerous driving..

i will be driving my 635 which is manual and has a l.s.d  and to be sure the car will be sliding a bit but in saying that i do consider myself to be very respectful of other track users and will be sunday driving(so to speak) when i am around them.

is that acceptable?

a few b.d.d`s back i was out in the 323 baur and was sliding around a bit but only when it was safe and i dont think i upset anyone(or there was no mention of it anyway)

Latest News

Mondello is currently refurbishing the hospitality suites over the pit garages. This means that sign on will happen in the room over the bar (the older building in the paddock).

Also 3 car marques are using the pit garages for training purposes, so none of these will be available on the day. Mondello has said that the Scrutiny shed at the back of the paddock will be open if anybody needs it.

People have got used to the Porsches sharing the day with us. This is not the case on Sunday, we are the only club booked in

So get there early so we can maximise our time on track. I will be there at 12

Mondello has cameras covering all of the track, this system will be active and recording on Sunday. I have been a Steward at a Mondello race meeting and have used the system to judge on an racing incident and can say that there is no part of the track that is not covered by at least two cameras from different angles.

So to quote "Hill Street Blues"

"Lets be careful out there"
