Hi, My E46 seems to have a problem with the auto headlights. The work fine some of the time but about 50% of the time they will come on when it's bright sunshine. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem. I'm assuming that the sensor is at the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror? I've got a feeling that there is another sensor but I'm not sure where it is?? I guess it could be that its dirty therefore making it appear that its actually dark? Any help appreciated. Thanks Mick. |

The sensor on the windscreen is for the auto dip rear view mirror, not sure if it does your lights too though, sorry.

Cheers Ally. I know the autolights are linked to the wipers as they will come on when the wipers are in use even if its bright outside, thats why I assumed there must be a sensor on the windscreen somewhere. Anyway they seem to be working ok now so maybe its sorted itself out? I'll keep an eye on it and see if it acts up again... Thanks Mick |
