The only way you could legally get out of paying Adrian Fux is by proving that you thought the premium was quoted as £250 and you have proof (your policy documents) to prove it.

Now if it is just that you thought they'd forgotten to take the other ]insert sum of £250 to £1750 to suit] then it is your duty to pay and they will pursue you until you do.

If it is the former, then you need to seek assistance from someone more qualified than I!

Jase, who did you go with in the end? I`ve just had a quote from Elephant.co.uk and it`s good compared to what I`m currently paying although I haven`t received a quote from my current insurers yet for next year.

Currently paying £690 with an excess of 600. Elephant want £494 with an excess of just 250 squid (quote obtained from their website)

Darren

I went with the AA at £800 premium as Elephant didn't recgnise the Evo as a production car?! Elephant are good tho, they are refunding me in full minus £20 admin charge and a calculated daily rate of £1.64, pretty helpful I thought.

If you've got a years insurance for nowt, don't pay it. Its there fault for not taking the premium. My work mate didn't get billed for his insurence and threatened to take them to court because he thought legally he wasn't covered. He had his doccuments to prove he was though. The insurence company backed down because it was there fault they didn't take any direct debits off him. My advice is to go to a solliciters, many offer a free appointment or drop in session. It will cost them far more to take you to court than the premium is worth so stick to your guns. and give them grief. God knows they make us pay...

I toyed with that route but didn't want to get blacklisted or anything daft, think it's too late now as I've paid the first £50

Will be campaigning for them to get no more business from frequenters of this site tho
