Hi there, Firstly do you know what car they came off.

If they are not off another 3 series you need to check the size of the wheel centre as there are two sizes that fit BMW's, and also the offset number on the wheels.

Which model is your car?  If it is an E36 then the offset should be between 30 and 40. The offset will be shown on the wheel as a number with ET in front.   ie,  ET35.

If you have an E46 I am not sure but I think the offsets are the same. Someone will soon be along to let you know.

Have a look at this site, it explains all about wheel and tyre sizes

Wheels & tyres

I am at work at the moment so don't have all the info to hand but hope this helps,  Steve.

I would imagine that x3 alloys will be the wrong offset

Mind you Pete, I have seen a set of X5 18's on an e36 driving around Norwich earlier this year. Looked rather odd though

Sorry I'm a numpty, I didn't read the post very well. I now see they are X3 wheels. Good job your awake Pete.

On further checking I find that Style 109 for X3 have 2 sizes

         7x17 (215/60R17  tyre) with offset et39

and    8x17 (235/55R17  tyre) with offset  et46

The 7x17 will fit but you would need to try the 8x17 to check they are OK.

Steve.
