Sound like from your passenger ride with Zonta you could teach Mr Mansell a trick or two BTW think the question you were asked posed by thepits was, "You've driven a modern F1 car then eh? " not whether you'd been driven in one, ive been in a number of aeroplanes but wouldn't proport to claiming that I know what there like to fly..............

Nooo, don't go there  you'll only start him off again

Well I took the sport Evo out on Friday to fill her up so the tank would not rust over the winter period and the only TC/DSC was my right foot which seemed to be disconnected from my brain.

Have I driven one....? Absolutely correct no to pitsy question.

But your statement said it was boys sport and not a mans...I was merely demonstrating to you that you it takes a hell of skill to handle one of these feckers...

Oh but maybe you e30 m3 owners can easily handle one with your 2000bhp

I just like to point out for the record (stand to be corrected) that the e34 M5 3.8 has been and still is the highest bhp output BMW have produced without traction control.

Of course this means that e34 M5 drivers have the hairest chests and biggest dangly bits when it comes to driving in the wet.

This puts the e30 M3 'boys' and there toys into perspecive and makes the e46 M3 drivers with there DSC TC EDC ABS etc just plain dangerous.

PS if any newbies are reading this we are not BHP snobs we just like a good bit of banter, and we all like a bit of banter is just so happens that I'm right all of the time

I agree with you there Graham....you are 'dangerous' even without being behind the wheel and the 'hairy' comment pertains to your driving style not how many follicles your body has IMO.

G has his "byaitches" in line..he's learnt a lot from watching me.

Sounds like back tracking to me.......... or your more confused than Scooby Doo.

Im pretty sure that 1300 bhp without any electronic aids, manual shifters and less advanced aerodynamics requires the devils own skills to drive.

Where do I back track???

Confused any part written so far I haven't understood don't think so !

It's the fantasy cuckoo land e30 m3 owners live in that are confused IMO.

Somehow from 180bhp'ish to 1300bhp don't think you're one of those devils do you??

But you've never Actually driven one? So your impression is merely based on being a passenger?? For how many laps was it???

flying a plane must be simple then - I've never had a problem in 1st class

Your reply,

"Why would I've said otherwise chum...."

But you have'nt actually driven one!!!

...guess that would be the 'front', as in behind the driver...... where I come from that's the back.

So you realise that  mid to late 1980's F1 cars had upto 1300bhp???

So what is easier to drive?

A 1300bhp turbo'ed car with no electronic aids or 900bhp with TC and other electronic aids??

If you think it's the latter then you obviously know more about F1 cars than Nigel Mansell and IIRC Sir Jackie Stewart.

..at least your in the right sort of ball park than you were earlier with your 2 bhp.

No I don't, haven't claimed that I am........leaving that to you, but judging by your previous thread you have trouble with 350???? bhp with electronic aids in the rain????????

BTW; when do you sign your contract with BAR?
