The steering wheel of my E36 gives a quietish high pitched squeak when
I turn corners etc. Can this be remedied? Is it serious in any way?
It's very annoying.

Only serious if the wheel feels loose! My car does the same, but seems to come and go with internal temperature, long trips - car inside gets hotter and the squeak stops. It annoys me, but I can't be bothered about it. The E34 did something similar and the steering shaft was found to be rubbing on the carpet liner...near your feet. Try there. |
