Has anyone in heard anything about this M3 or gone to have a look at it?
http://www.usedcars.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car& ;carID=261374

It's been up for months and the price has changed from €42K to €36k in  that time. I think this is the 3rd garage it's been in, so alarm bells are already ringing. Anyone had any dealings with the garage?

I have bought 2 cars off Glen..... The first was a lemon as documented on this site, the second my current car is perfect.

I dont have any bad words for them. I think all car dealers are the same..... I never buy a car judged on the dealer. Just check the car out. I he wont or cant find any history or previous owner then walk away.

Mick

Acutally my sisters 525i came from Glen also. No problems there too.  (2 out of 3 aint bad)

The E46m M3's are going for nothing now.  High enough mileage on that, but still very cheap.  Youd get a 2003 one for €45k if you look around.

Dude

Considering the nature of the car, if I was buying an M3 now, I would hang on for the right low mileage one.  That car doesn't even have full leather seats which I am sure is affecting the price.

As Phil says, hang on and spend a bit more for a better specced car with low mileage.

You're both right, though I've had no interest in the 325 so I'm now thinking of just trading it in against an M3 here. Silver's my preferred colour and all...

I would check at the stealers about that car especially warranty work I think that car was in M&G in Milltown a few times and it might have got a new engine or two at some stage and if it is the same car it was trashed to its death most times by the owners who blew the engine once, just go in with the registration and ask nicely if they can give you any history on the car and that will put your mind at ease about it

That car doesn't have its original engine either from what I've been told.

A friend in the car business told me to avoid that crowd like the plague...

Decent 02's are going for around €45k now, youd get one for €40k if you shop around.  They come down a lot in price, Id say if you wait a bit longer youll get a nice 03 for early 40's.

yeah I had problems with an impreza I bought from them, ie radiator blew after a week and found, rad weld had been used to seal it, which got into the whole cooling system. Luckily enough pump wasn't affected up to the time I sold it. They just didn't want to know once they got my money. Gave me some crap about the car being a trade car, but I didn't buy it as a trade car and they certainly didn't mention it at the time I purchased it. My understanding was that there was 3 months warranty with it. I've learnt the hard way. Unless you buy from them with the cars full documented history, and get your warranty in writing, i'd stay clear of them too.

To be honest Im not that suprised. As I said check the car not the dealer. But it looks too cheap to be true.

Any one asked them whats the story. They might tell the truth.

A little o/t, but has anyone noticed how much '04 645Ci's have dropped off recently?  There are a number available from main or quite reputable dealers for well under 70k, only a couple of grand more than an M3 from a similar source.

Hi Guys, Just to let you all know I bought a 03 M3 convertible from Glen, got it checked out in Frank Kean motors and it checked out 100%. I have had no problems with the car it’s a dream to drive!

I have recommended Glen to a friend of mine and she was very happy with the service she received their too. I look forward to dealing with Glen again.

That reg 02 MH 343 seems to be one to avoid. I've seen bad posts about it
before. I'd really check the history to be sure though. Where did your car end
up Luke?

Bloody dealers. Not to slag but "every concievable extra" would include sat
nav.

Dave, try trade yours in against Lukes old car. You might get a good price.
Less miles and a better history. And he only drove around Mondello like a
Mary.
