I agree. If you want a van buy a transit - ran four of them for years with no problems. You can get lots of Cow Pies in a transit! (for the younger ones amonst you who don't know what a Cow Pie is - Desperate Dan in the Beano (or was it the Dandy) used to eat them instead of little pork pies). |

Shoot me if you want, but I like it... If I HAVE (hope not) to ever have a people carrier, I would not mind one of these ... Better than a Toyota or Daewoo...!!! BB |

I like BMW styling, and think the A-Class was a great bit of innovative kit. So if it looks like that and is light, innovative, and drives well, count me in. Although having said all that, I have no massive urge to sit higher than everyone else, so would probably just buy an estate anyway! |

I bet that'll cost a fortune as well.
BMW are becoming increasingly irrelevant IMHO. Anyone who buys this ought to have opted for a Scenic I or something I reckon. If I bought a new car it wouldnt be a BMW. |

Yuk Do you think it will be rear wheel drive though? Wrong wheel drive will give loads more room in the cabin and room for a stoopid extra row of seats. If you must have a big car to cart the offspring (sprogs that is not the cool band) buy a 3 or 5 Touring. God help me but if I ever have kids and I struggle with a 5 saloon (although I shouldn't as those who insist on bringing the kitchen sink with ther kids when they go out in a car have to opt for a people carrier) I have told the fiancee that it will be a 5 Touring as under no circumstance will I ever own anything that is wrong wheel drive as they are just sooo horrible to drive. Andrew PS mind you I was given a serious run for my money when I still had my 200+bhp 3.0i 24v Vauxhall Senator by a guy driving a Vauxhall Zafira GSi, 2.0i turbo. Still it would suffer really badly from snap your thumbs torque steer. Yuk! |

I think that looks great!! This is just more evidence of BMW becoming a mass market player as they have to fill all niches in the market. It may upset the purists but BMW always knew they would have to appeal to all markets to survive, like it or loathe it,it will happen and is happening. I actually think the new range of BMW's are exciting and different from most other manufacturers, however there is stiff competition from the big players...have you seen the new mondeo? It looks like a credible rival to the 3 series/audi A6. Even if it doesn't have the badge |
