One other thing, I saw in CAR magazine that the rear  number plate was in the bumper, looked awesome, not here though!

I f***ing love it!!! I have been following the development of the new M3 and I read it's styling was going to be less muscular and more subtle. I'm glad so see that's not the case. It looks like it could give an Apache Helicopter a fright! Did you know the new V8 in the M3 is smaller in physical size than the straight six in the e46 M3, just like the v12 in the Mclaren F1 which was so compact and the engine sits further back behind the front axle. How much money do you get for being a human Guinea Pig?

looks nice..but,

front wing indicators/ grills: I think the designer must have had a hangover when he done that, and decided not to bother at all, needs better styling IMO.

Front end of car: same new, same new...zzzz  ZZZZ

Would have liked to seen pronounced flared arches too..lacks a distinctive look to it other than the quad exhausts, side grills and Capri bonnet bump.

Judging by the drivers' headrest, someone had a head orgasm tho..

I like the side gills

but the door mirrors are fugly as hell!

M5/M6 style mirrors would've looked way better IMO.

I can't criticize the car one bit! I think it fits into the BMW design history of producing cars that look prestigious, expensive, quality, class, powerful and a sportiness that Audi and Mercedes have never matched ( Mercedes 190 evo apart but that was a very very rare car ). If you look at the E30 M3 the arches look huge because the car is small compared to the modern E90 coupe which is noticibly bigger than my E46. Cars are getting larger for example the current golf is bigger than the original Passat and I couldn't believe the size of the new Corsa compared to the first one. You don't see XJR's, S8's or SL's with wide arches because they have wide tracks already. It's harder to put bigger and bigger arches on new models because the wheel base and track get bigger with the car anyway.

I'm sure its an awesome machine but not too keen on the front view. (I know, I know, with my motor, all I'll get is a rear view anyway!!)
