Following recent discussions with the office over affairs (which i agreed I would not go into) it has been decided to bring the forum back to the BMW Car Club for the benefit of the club members.
True, I will receive a 'severance' package but this is to reflect the amount of work invested in building the forum.
The other moderators are aware of the changes but like myself have kept it quiet till now.
A final date hasn't been agreed yet as solicitors for both sides are doing their bit to justify their fees but it will happen automatically.
Anyhow, on behalf of myself and the other moderators can I wish everyone a big thanks for the support and best of luck with a united car club.

If this had been posted this morning I automatically would have presumed it to be an April Fools gag but as it has been posted after the 12 noon April Fool cut off point I now must assume it is true. So what will the new forum be called? Will the moderators from both forums remain as moderators? Will we still have to be a club member to post. Will we still have to put up with Pinky? Is Killian drunk? Am I going senile? (again )

Oddly enough, we had a similar takeover story published at 10.11am this morning.  I received 3 texts in about 5 minutes.

I take it noone's seen the spoof BMW advert in yesterday's Times then...

I'll be certain to specify 'Reactive User Sound Electronic' particles on my next new BMW....

The department of Photo Reactive Aural Telecommunications really sounds like it's making headway.

(apologies if this is news to noone!)
