Apparently one of the differences on the Cecotto was a heated windshield. Can anybody confirm this ? and if yes how can you tell if there is a heated one fitted? For example - Does it have heating elements?

Not sure about this, I never had one on my Cecotto..
Never even heard of this as an option..

hmmm. Thanks I must admit it does sound a very advanced feature however this is the trigger for my question.BayAreaMotorsport.

Hmmm strange description.. well I certainly don't remember any Heated Windshield.. my car had almost all the options.. wouldn't worry too much..
Get a Sport Evo, noticably faster :)
