As there is more chance of Scotland wining the world cup than Haynes producing a manual for a V8 E60, I found this on Ebay.

Has anyone seen this before?

Do you think it is worth a punt at only £0.99.  P and P is £3.50.

At stg4.50 there's not much to lose but I wouldn't have too high of expectations of what is on it.

I presume its the BMW TIS.
Check that it works with your operating system - I can't get mine to work with Vista.
You may also find others that have cheaper P&P if you want to save a few pence.

You could always try to negotiate the P& down - should only cost him £1 for P&P.

mine works fine on Vista Business, but it may be an older version than yours:

2007_06 ETK & TIS are supposed to work on Vista - however Vista is not officially supported.

Dealers are running XP Pro SP2 for ETK and XP Pro SP2/UNIX for TIS from what I've been told.

Not just for this application  - but I'd not use Vista for anything -  only getting "used" to using XP Pro for most applications...took them (MS) 5 years to get that sorta 95%...

http://www.isohunt.com/download/24889732/bmw+tis+etk

part of the "KFZ Programme" torrent archive; contains VAG and BMW TIS/ETK DVDs, as well as something called "autodata" which, according to their site (http://www.autodata.ltd.uk/), is technical info for various makes and models

just untick the ones you don't want when the torrent opens, i know someone who'd like a copy if the VAG discs cover Seat so i'm downloading that as well

it's a relatively large download (10.2gb) and it's painfully slow due to lack of seeders, but persevere with it, i'm sure someone will come along to seed shortly

Its a work laptop Eddie and I need Vista on it as I develop MS apps which need to work on Vista.

Then I feel your pain Killian!
Most reliable Windows was W95 OSR2.5, next best W2K Pro...
But someone has to go through torture of getting apps to work with Vista.

Pure conjob by MS - cheaper to buy a laptop with Vista on it now than XP Pro - Acer/Dell etc.

don't speak rubbish!  win95 wasn't very reliable once you scratched beneath the surface, it's only saving grace was the speed at which you could format and reinstall - i had it down to 30 mins for a complete format and reinstall from scratch with drivers

god even the product key is seared into my memory, the devil is in the repetition...

and don't even get me started on nt4!!  wtf use is not having a device manager?!?

like Killian, i have to keep up to date with stuff with my job, niether vista business nor office 2007 enterprise is on here through choice, its from the ms select partner programme

i've had a quite a few teething troubles with it even after it went final release, with program and hardware compatibility issues - surprising stuff like hp network printers suddenly stop working at random - print spooler says its working but will it print?  will it hell!

on saturday i completely buggered up my wireless card by uninstalling a so-called compatible version of vmware workstation, even after running a vmware cleaner it refused to work - lots of hidden files still left over and tieing up my card, it would show it had connected, but with limited connectivity, ergo no router access so no lan access, which was odd

so many gremlins, and so many changes - UAC is a PITA!  why change names of things for the sake of it "add remove programs" is now "programs and features".  makes it a b****rd to resolve problems over the phone

thats why i dont recommend businesses to move to vista until at least its SP1 comes out early next year

enough ranting, at least it keeps me in a job

Agree on NT4 - SP install, reboot, SP installs... and then all over again if you installed something...

However, if you had an application for a machine and W95 would do it (very few now) - it would keep running forever...

W2k was better ut a hog on RAM if you used an older machine.

In fairness - I prefer XP Pro on everything now - however, I totally dislike the phone home software that it has. It monitors everything, but Vista is f*cking worse...

indeed, let's have a button on the start menu that looks like the universal symbol for turn off and make it actually just save the power a little bit!

when i say off i mean OFF, i don't want to have to go to another bloody menu to select it!! (i do know how to change the button but it should be like that by default, no changes necessary!)
