Hi guys,

Have any of you had any experience with removing a tow bar?

I dont think ill remove it myself and was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of someone to do it in the Dublin area. Also any idea how much this might cost?

Any help much appreciated.

I removed one from my old 325i - was a bitch of a job, but its definitely a DIY job all the same. All depends on how its installed and what condition its in - the bolts holding mine on were completely seized, the metal in the floorpan was giving way before they would budge, took two of us several hours to get it off.

I'm sure the guys in AC Cars would remove it quickly enough for you (www.accarsales.com)

Very often (always?) the towbar replaces the bumper-carrier. If you don't have the bumper-carrier you will need one. I have sometimes wondered where all the bumper-carriers go after towbar installation?

irelandoffline - I hope you never park anywhere near my car.

Wasn't the case on my E30 - I reckon it was fitted by someone who hates cars.

Suckers... on a serious note though, I can park without sensors or the use of a towbar.
