I love E28's, I have such fond memories of our 520i - great car.

Looks good in the pictures but I have learned (after many a wasted journey to view) that pictures can be deceptive!

had a look at his website and looks like he put quite a few pounds into it. sent him a mail to have a look but waiting for response. i know they last but 200k mls and i'm sure they were not all easy.
what do you mean it was unexpected, you should have expected it!

rocket machine with a fondness to rust, M30 engine is bomb proof so the 200,000k mark wouldn't be an issue for me. Dog box are weak so needs to be checked. Not worth much more that a grand, rust is the worry. Have an e28 525i (150bhp) and it's pretty damn quick, so the 535i (218bhp) must be something else....
