is anyone from here giong to Sligo for the rally championships in November, going myself, just sorting out where i'm gonna stay, anyone got any suggestions?? .

Im going with a few friends i believe, havent a bulls notion where were gonna stay yet... Id say anything decent will be booked up by now.. Sure if it comes to it i can always stay in Hotel Bmw - Room 525!

Don't have the camper van parked near the stages, the 2 police forces will be moving anything that could be catagorised as interfering with stage. This will be happening during the night before.

my friend with the camper.. his mate is a marshal at the event and he has a good spot for him in a safe place..

im heading down aswell rang every hotel and b&b in the sligo area and couldnt get anywhere eventually rang a b&b and she gave me the number of a freind of hers, its not a b&b but shes renting rooms for the weekend the house is only after been built and all the rooms are ensuite €100 a room per night, does anyone know where you can get maps of the stages and where the spectator points will be

Luke - make sure the camper is 1/2 a kilometer from any junction; rally safety restrictions for international and national is that there must me a 200m empty road on a junction running straight on from stage, and 50m for anything going off at 90 degrees. I'm sure that for WRC the regulation clearways will be increased. The last thing you want is to find someone waking you up at 3am telling you to move, and all the decent spots are gone! Ger - you heading up that way for the weekend? |

Probably not. I was tempted as I have a cousin living outside Sligo. Finance tight, might be buying a wings and slicks 2 Litre single seater at Tynagh next Sunday. Edited by gjoconnor92 |
