    Posted: 01-January-2008 at 19:52

just got my wing back on after my neighbour kindly reshaped it. put a new wing on, gen BMW, and had it sprayed. did a bit of solder work to the end of the scuttle and treated it inside.

the worst was getting inner wing to fit, what a pig, and to be honest its still not on both studs - anyone else had a fight with these?

What part number did you get? Sounds as though it could be an EVO3 outer wing.

If it ends in 977, 978, 019 or 020 it is an Evo3 part.

The plastic liners are different (and more expensive).

What do you do now?

  1. Get the correct outer wing and paint etc. (You can always sell the wrong one)
  2. get the inner wing that goes with your new outer wing and have different wings left and right.
  3. Go the whole hog and put a new wing on the other side to match the one you have just had painted. (and, of course, new liners to both sides.
  4. ???

well what i did was got fed up!

probably about number 6 on your list - phoned the body shop and they hammered out the old one and filled the crease a bit, they sprayed it - just fitted it, looks good again.

not sure what part no the other one is, and its diamond black now
