Yeah I agree with you.

I told BMW Uk about their staff but I doubt anything will be done.

Unless I get all my costs back I will tell them that I am playing the going to the media card.

Cheers for the morale support.

Insurance Company have just phoned again to say that that was incorrect and that I will receive my cheque for the excess at the end of next week now.

They are still pursuing their outlay and my un insured losses fromthe third party insurance company.

Off on holiday last week, got a phone call from the Insurance Company to say that they had received something on the 22nd July and that I should get my excess within 1 week.

Still no sign of it.  Mibbie it will be posted thru my letter box this morning.

Oh what's that flying past my window?

Also found out that the company who are claiming back my uninsured losses have NOT received any form of instruction from my Insurance Company to do this despite my insurance company telling me for the past two months that this other company were dealing with it.

Swiftly phoned the insurance company back and yelled at them (which did make me feel much better) as to why they had not checked that this other company had received the instruction to claim my uninsured losses.

Still dragging on.

Not sorted.

Premium has gone up about £70-100 because of all this.

Someone remind me why this is my fault please?

Must have been a little pink piggy with wings cos when I got home last night there it was, my cheque for my excess.

Result!

I was a bit bummed cos I thought it was another Birthday card and was disappointed to see it wasn't but that soon changed when I found the envelope contained a nice cheque.

Just got to keep pushing buttons for the uninsured losses.

That was exactly 6 months from when the car got nicked to me getting a cheque for my excess.

Thanks for all your support.

...and it rumbles on.

Got in yesterday and there was a letter from a Solicitor in Glasgow.  I thought I was getting sued for something but it turned out it is a letter from the scumbag that stole my car, laywer stating that they would like a statement from me.

Hmmm.

I droped the keys off and then never saw the car till 10 weeks later.  What else can I tell you?

Fekin' well should be the BMW dealers staff that are in court too!

I was wondering if this guy would have been thru the courts yet as it was nearly 8 months ago, but obviously not.

This is called a precognition letter for the denfense. All they want to know is your side of things and once they have all the relevant info, that's when they advise their client if they prosecution have a good case or not.

If you have any doubts call the PF's office in Ballater St for advice and if you want to be a total twisted git, a precognition should be a Q+A session.

They will already have a copy of your statment that you gave to the police anyway.

Gary is right.

I've had this before when I was a witness in a murder case.

The accused's solicitor wants to get a statement from you, just to confirm everything I suppose.

My lawyer is of the opinion, leave it to your insurance companies to sort out that's what you pay them for.

It looks like a legal aid job too.  So my tax money is going to pay for a legal defence for the git who nicked my car and caused me all sorts of grief.

Now that's justice!

....still going thru it!

I haven't managed to phone the solicitor yet as I'd still probably loose the head while on the phone to the guy so I wait till I've calmed down.

You'll like this....

Got a phone call yesterday afternoon from a chap at Douglas Park!  But it was their Hamilton Branch i.e. their head office.

The chap on the other end of the phone called to kindly let me know that "your BMW requires and MOT"!

Penny swiftly dropped with me.

"What BMW are you referring too?" I asked.

"BK53OZG" was my response.

I then went on to tell the chap on the phone that I no longer owned BK53OZG and told him the complete story along how I am still hundreds of pounds out of pocket.

He was shocked to hear what had happened.

I asked why the feck (yeah I did actually swear at him) Douglas Park of all people were phoning me to ask to take my car to them for an MOT when they know chuffin' full well what happened to it.

I did tell him that under no circumstances would I be using their garages again.

I told him to go and speak to Tom Burton (DP at time of incident) who would bring him up to speed.  I also told him that it was still not resolved and that the attitude of Douglas Park and BMW GB stinks.  He said he would get someone to call me but nobody has phoned back.  Hmm what a surprise.

It got me really upset and angry yesterday afternoon.  Only just stopped myself from completley loosing it.  My voice was trembling and everything.

although I can sympathise to a certain extent I think you were out of order - it wasn't the receptionists fault, he's only following an automated print-out of MOTs due that week, he can't be expected to know the situation of every particular car - I still get MOT reminders from my local dealer for my 323 and I sold it nearly 4 years ago...

don't get angry at the monkeys, get angry at the organ-grinder, or better still the scrotebag who stole your car in the first place!

Yes sorry I should have put a bit more in my post above.

I did then swiftly apologies to him after I said that.  I found myself apologising to him for ranting at him when it wasn't his fault.

That phone call was the last straw, I've been getting letters for reminders for this car for a while but the Customer Service Manager for Scotland knows all about this case I would have thought he could have done his job and sorted it out to see that I wasn't bothered again.

The garage I bought it from wrote to me last month to tell me it wanted a service so I wrote to them telling them everything and copied in the Customer Service Manager for Scotland asking him to update the records but it hasn't been done.

Got a stinker of a letter drafted to go once again to BMW GB asking them to please update their records and to get their finger out and sort out my uninsured losses.

GRRRRR

at last, someone who talks sense.

i,m so sick of people who think they need to bow down to the man, just because this is a large company does,nt mean we should bend over and let them shaft us.

hit back andrew as hard as you can. you should be getting compensated instead of chasing your losses.

dont let them walk all over you.

then again i may just be "havin a laff"
