Hi

I own a E38 740i 2001. Have been looking into haveing a LPG coversion Done, Been quoted about £1500.00. for full system, this seems a fair price (about average).

Any one run a 740 on gas ? can you tell me what are the draw backs if any ? has it caused any problems ? is it worth having done ? Will it affect the resale price?          beerchug

All replys welcome.

I have an E32 730 with the straight six with an LPG conversion (done by a
previous owner) - it's the old fashioned style which dumps a gas into the
intake - it's fine but can be a bit temperamental (just as well I don't mind
getting my hands dirty!!!) - the newer style injection and sequential injection
systems are a lot more reliable as I understand it.
