ive been made an offer for my E39 that is very tempting to take? the guy came to me on friday with an offer (the asking price) to which i declined as the car i was intrested in was sold, then this evening he came back and offered more than my origonal asking price.

dunno what to do? i know i could get tore in to my E30 Cabby with some of the cash and buy another "decent" car with the rest but i think a few of you know i'm quite attached to my E39 .. but offer's like this one are far and few between.

ive been looking at a few none BMW's .. Mitsubishi VR4, Shogun's, Audi A4 .. the list goes on but nothing realy jump's out at me?

i'd get rid if you have the chance, then bank the money and wait until something comes along that "jumps out at you"

It could be a while before someone else makes an offer nd even then it may well be below the asking!

Time to move on Ian.  The fact that you've advertised it indicates that even you've started to accept this.  Take the nice man's money.

If i was you i would sell it because\:

1.You wanted to sell it earlier and now you have a better offer.

2.Project is done.(its a brilliant car)

3.You have another car to drive and do research.

Go for it!

4. E39s, no matter how smart, are dropping.

Take the money.  Buy a cheap smoker, stick the rest in the bank and buy an E60 next year.

it's gone, here's the best bit .. i had it advertised only for one day out side my house (sign on the window) next day i decided "i'm keeping it a wee while longer" 1 week later a chap make's me an offer which was the asking price, i declined, he kept on at me for 20min's or so and i still declined, he came back on sunday (i was just home from Boyd's place) .. chap at the door, straight away he say's right no bull! i want your car and i'm prepared to pay £200 above your asking price ... well after much thought and 2 sleepless nights my E39 has gone, just went away tonight about 7pm the guy stuck to his word payed more than i first wanted and payed in cash

i'm off to start another post  .. future BM

Would get my vote!  As you know I'm onto my second E60 but the first one was a real bargin.  Prices are falling on the E60 too.
