Ian,
my long list of chores took me past your house earlier today and my god is it clean, I was scrambling for my sunnies

wish your health mate and watch out for those traffic boys when giving that DV and good blast.
I followed them twice today, the basturks don't like it when the tables are turned. you can guarantee I'm going to regret doing that but it was a laugh

I'll get a proper look at it when I've got more time on my hands

yeah Stephen, i'll bring it along one time, i know what you mean about adding bit's to it but TBH i knew nothing about subaru's (still don't!) to me it was just a very, very clean example of what i was told is a rare model in the range of impreza's?

since i bought it though, ive noticed a few "RA" car's with the same extras, i'm guessing a few folk back in Japan asked for the electric pack upgrade?

i like the sound of the DV to, gonna get a Blitz make next week, it has a bailey's one just now but it's not loud enough

yip, only after market engine mod is the dump valve, had it well checked out today, it has all the protetive skid pan's fitted under neath (apparently it's rare to have all of them fitted?) BHP is 271, being an RA model it has the strongest engine subaru put in any impreza along with a 5th injector and a water sprayer for the inter cooler also as standard it has a close ratio G/box  0-60 in under 4 sec's (so ive been told) mostly alluminium panel's .. mine it seam's is a very rare item due to it having the electric pack fitted.

mine's has been fitted with a later front bumper and light weight 17" pro-drive wheel's

i spot a dump valve, is that the only engine modification?  what kind of power do these RA things kick out as standard?

here ya go Paul

cleaned it yesterday then took a few pic's

so far, it's cheaper to insure than my E39, it's about the same on fuel (about town) full set of brake pad's (front's are real deal scooby item's) rears are after market brand 37:75 for the four

i got a second alarm been fitted today (sigma cat 1) it came with a toad Cat 1 ... Oh yeah and the insurance company i went with (A-Plan) didn't even ask if it was alarmed!

fit the new pad's tomorrow, i'll also clean and paint the calipers.

E30 NEWS: i went today for a new radiator for my E30 and ..... can't get one, stopped making them and there is no stock of them any where???

so ive to drop my leaking one of with a rad-fixer to get it re-cored, won't get it back till tuesday  which in turn put's back the respray!!

for a wkend toy the scooby would win it hands down for me, you already have a convertible why buy another for the wkend.
BUT
I can't see you behind the wheel of a scooby, in my mixed up mind I see people driving certain cars and you don't belong there.
the other thing you mentioned about needing a large boot for regular trips down south. I imagine after a few hrs of motorway in the scooby it'll feel like you've just done a european tour.
and will you use the scooby for what it's made for, no point in having a car like that and not giving it the beans at every opportunity

just my tuppence

I like the Integra Type R idea, an unassuming car that'll cruise all day long then bite your head off at the drop of a hat although if it was me I'd spend my money on a Lancia Delta Integrale or a nice wee Alfa Romeo(to hell with reliability)

good luck big chap with whatever you decide and I hope it works out

Scooby would be my pick for a weekend toy.

E36 vert is a cruiser not a B road blaster.
