My air con has never worked.  Through a combination of laziness on my part and the poor weather I didn't bother to try and get it fixed.  I took it to a BMW Garage yesterday and was informed that a stone or similar has punctured the condenser unit and it will be £650 to replace (it has never worked from day 1 - however my fault for not taking it back on day 2 I guess).  Mentioned at work and have heard 3 others with exactly the same issue on 07 Z4's - any suggestions?

can't help on your problem, but you might get a response if you post your technical question in the Other Motors section of the forum, this section is for discussions on car cleaning methods

fwiw I don't know about the Z but a condenser is nowhere near £650, nearer £80 for other BMWs, a man-in-a-van aircon specialist should be able to replace
