All,

I run a 2001 325 and would like to improve the handling and ride.

My feeling of the setup is as follows:-

The car doesn't turn in quickly enough and the rear end is too harsh/firm and seems to 'bounce' over the road rather than hug it.  The steering is not as responsive as I would ideally like.  The feedback from the wheels is not as good as I thought it would be.  Also there is I feel too much lean on corners, which though safer, no doubt, just makes the car seem less fun!  The car has the standard 'sports' suspension and I am running 17' alloys.  I feel that the compromises made by the engineers is making the car a little 'soft' for my liking although the ride is still incredibly harsh!  Do you have any 'reasonable' suggestion on how I can 'tighten up the car a little?  New rubber?  Stiffer shocks?   Shorter springs?  What about the rear harshness?  Overall I am still in love with the thing but I think that the suspension is, quite frankly, crap compared to the rest of the package.  Maybe I am being too fussy.  Maybe the 'compromise' is the correct one?

All help gratefully received.Big Smile
