I am now the proud owner of a Megs 220 dual action polishing machine. 30th Birthday present from my wife. On reading the instructions with the machine it says to clean the polish of your polishing pads, you turn the machine upside down. Stick two fingers in a towel and press down on the pad then turn the machine on. Now that sounds a bit drastic as even on the slowest setting it spins fairly fast! Polished bliss suggest washing them in a bucket of soapy water, but what do others suggest? I haven't used the machine yet. Can't wait though. Will have to clay the car first. Thanks Andrew |

I wash mine in a bucket of soapy water and work the polish from the pads with my fingers in a pressing action. Then stick it on the machine on a relatively quick setting to dry it |
