I picked up myself a 30Gb Creative Zen Vision M - MP4 player. So far I have 500 of my albums on it along with several videos. Whilst recently caught in traffic for 4 hours because of a light snowfall, I was sitting there watching Primus, etc.
The only problem with it is that its not permanently wired in. I got an FM transmitter on ebay but its crap and am currently using a tape adaptor which means a horrible wire hanging out of the tape deck.

Incidentally, went to see Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest last night. The sound for Testament and Megadeth was crap but still great to see them again! Pity my neck won't let me have any fun!

Ah yes... the horrors of the tape adaptor...

Am I the only one that finds them rubbish? Seems to play mono sound or at least really quiet out of one side unless you put some tension on the wire coming out the tape.. only prob with that is you have to maintain the tension to keep the sound good - which means you have to drive holding the wire!! (Obviously I don't actually do this!)

Tried the FM transmitter method too but that was just p*sh... sounded like a badly tuned AM transmission!

Also tried buying another tape and this one is marginally better but still a bit one-sided on the balance...

Weird...

Oh... and by the way... currently listening to Tool - 10,000 Days!

Megadeth, aren't they supposed to be Megapants now?

I went to see them at the Barrowlands in Glasgow in 1997 or 1998 I think.  Good gig but terrible support act.  I saw Faith No More there too, yonks ago.

Is it just Dave Mustaine left from the originall line up, Dave Ellefson (bass player and mate of Mustaine's excuse the spelling!) has departed now hasn't he?

In the CD player is Garage Inc by Metallica and Psalm 69 by Ministry. Jesus built my Hotrod and Scare Crow are excellent tracks on that album.  I bought that album in September 1996 when I started uni, hadn't listened to it for years until I drove up to Thurso a couple of weeks ago.  Much head banging going on, on the A9!

Mustaine is the only original member left. He can be a right dick at times. In 1988 whilst playing in Northern Ireland, he was spun a line by a guy selling tshirts outside and ended up dedicating Anarchy in the UK to "the cause" (i.e. the IRA!). Half of the crowd went mental and the band had to be escorted out of NI (to Dublin) in a bulletproof bus!

Megadeth split in 2002 and Ellefson wanted to restart it and it all ended up in court with DE sueing DM (unsuccesfully) and DM countersueing DE (succesfully IIRC).

Now that wasn't a terribly smart move on Mustaines part now was it.

They were for a while IMO. I was a big fan and liked everything up until and including Youthanasia. After that they did a few terrible albums. However the latest one, 'The system has failed', is a real return to form. If you haven't heard it give it a go. It's not in the same league as 'So far, So good...' or 'Peace sells', But is is still a damn good metal album.

I went to see Machine head and Slipknot in December. Next day I felt like I had no neck muscles!
