hey all im new to this all and just bought my first bmw...its a 525tds se... very nice car but i have a couple of querys....firstly i was wondering when should the turbo cum in cause i have serious lag below 2500 rpm.... also i seems to want to cut out and stall normally between 1st and 2nd gear but not all the time.. i hope some1 of you fine people can help me

please check ur fuel filter located in tank, under your rear set,   dirty fuel could do that, i have this problem with my old e39 525tds,hope this help

Fuel filter like OptiCanTuning said. Other possibilities could be injectors or injector pump - check the filter first though.

My old tds would only come on boost at 2200 - 2500rpm too - from what I hear, I think that's just the way they are.

Its just the way they are!! happy motoring! or tune it!  always let the car run a few seconds before shuting down to cool turbo! after a blast.biggrin
