It was so good I watched it again last night! Best this season yet and we're not even half way. I'm thinking/hoping McLaren will continue to drive at Red Bull, perhaps then taking the season to them and taking over as it seems Ferrari are too far behind and Mercs just can't find that last second or so.

Bring it on!

Mike

Think rules and interpretation need discussing between the teams. In my opinion, the rule should be, safety car in, danger has passed therefore they can race, end of!

I'm not a Schui fan, but I hope they win an appeal, or at least have the time penalty reduced so he only goes back the one place.

for the F1 "geeks" amongst us the rules are IMHO ambiguous -

40.7 - ...With the following exceptions, overtaking is forbidden until the cars reach the first safety line after the safety car has returned to the pits. ...

40.11 - ... As the safety car is approaching the pit entry the yellow flags and SC boards will be withdrawn and replaced by waved green flags with green lights at the line. ...

40.13 - If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pit lane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking.

So Ross used 40.7 to tell him he could overtake, whereas 40.13 says he can't.

Mr Hill was only there in an advisory role - but all Stewards have to apply the rules as they are written.

Mercedes Petronas GP not appealing stewards decision.

Lovely procession around Monaco Yesterday! Ok, there's no overtaking really and as Hamilton said, "all I could do was keep my 5th place to secure the points" but I thought Alonso was excellent, his overtaking was class and well calculated and was a good watch for 30 minutes or so but then came Schuey, now THAT is the old Schumacher we all know and love. Overtaking right on the line, making that cheeky move count. Totally awesome and what's more, Mr Brawn was ready with photo's to prove they were in the right because I'msure his old arch rival, Damon would have loved to find fault with that lol!

Only 19 points between Weber and Hamilton, still wide open and totally unpredictable. Just can't wanit for the next race now!

Sorry bud, like most on 'other' forum I thought it was actually meant as it reads, but I guess it is just 'playground stuff' in your case.

Guilty as charged your honour! I work in a garage so you can imagine the amount of men who just enjoy a laugh and a joke. I guess when you mix this with having young kids it tends to spill over into situations where perhaps a bit more decorum is expected lol. It's just the way I am. I have massive respect for Shumacher and he's up there with Prost and Senna. We got some official Mercedes F1 team caps into stock today and I was even tempted to buy a Schumacher one but the english side of me made sure I ordered a Jenson Button T-shirt instead! though that caps are really nice.

No hard feelings.

sheepwacker??

What is it with all this name changing business folk who do not like Schumacher get up to???

All a little bit playground  IMHO, so you don't like the guy does that mean you change his name to some derogatory term, does it make you feel better?

Gutted for Hamilton, he drove a good race, shame it had to end in such a way. Annoyed at Button, if he'd been a bit like Hamilton with the 'balls out' aggression, he'd have passed sheepwacker and maybe caught the others too.

I managed to go the whole day without knowing the results, got home Sunday evening, started to watch it on sky+ then saw my wifes aol screen and the headlines flashed up on there as I was reading something else!
