tried traynors, seen them on ebay..The ecu went on my 323i baur a while back and i tried the one from my brother in laws baur(twin of my car) and the part numbers were different and it wouldnt do my car(ended up getting one from ebay from a 1985 525i/same part number)

So it seems that it doesnt have to come from a 635csi BUT it does have to have the same part number.

And so the search goes on......

Well ya learn sumthing new everyday and i am now a member of the alfa forum.I asked for help on that site aswell so we`ll see how it goes.

If i was 100% positive the ecu is my problem i would buy it new but its a very expensive way to find out that its not the problem after all.

ah well,fingers crossed.

P.S.

Thanks for helping me in my ecu search.
