They're an independent specialist and I've booked in to have some work done. just wondering if anyone has had any experience of them.

Brilliant, used them for years when I lived up there. Neil and Chris are both ex-main dealer mechanics, they can be pricey but they are very thorough.

Nice to hear!! Thanks Johnny! They're only round the corner from me but this is one of the first times I've had the need of an independent garage. Just getting my fuel sender unit replaced. Costly job for the part (£100) but only an hours labour.

Thanks.

You must live in the Grove? I used to live in Woodsmoor, just down the road. Small world isn't it?

Do you have a website or contact details for them?.  I don't even know where Hazel Grove is, but if they offer such good service it may be worth finding out!.

Hi I use Baymow all the time, highly recomended...
They have looked after all my BM`s over the last 10 years. My wifes E36 is due to go in for an oil service this next month + mot..I know it will pass first time as they check it out before hand. They also look after my Hartge E30 Touring.
You could pay less BUT..!! it would`nt be as good a job and maybe not even genuine parts, Neil and Chris always use genuine parts unless you take your own in for them to use..
They will even come and collect your car from home or work if you live local...only if you speak nice to them..!!!
Tell them you found out about them via the club as I arranged the discount for members.
BY the way I live in Offerton.
Regards
Kevin

To be honest, I'm tempted to take my M5 to Baymow for it's inspection 2. I could make a point of visiting my Sister, who also lives in Offerton, and having the car done while I'm there. We've got some good specialists down here but they're just not as good as Neil and Chris. Can't praise the guys enough.

Well had the work done on my E36 - new fuel pump. I have to say I was impressed. They did only one small thing which has impressed me so much - they showed me the old part and what was causing the problem. In this day and age it's so easy to be ripped off that I never trust mechanics, plumbers, electricians, builders and other tradesmen. Sorry to all of you out there who are honest but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, well impressed with Baymow and will use them again.

Glad you are happy with the work they did..
My wifes E36 318i is booked in for an oil service and MOT on Thur, they are picking it up for where I work and dropping it back off when all is done..will let you know if it passes..!! and I Bet i`ll have change out of £70.

Oh well din`t get any change but it did pass the mot no problem, but they also fitted and exhaust bracket £15..so this bill came to £105 all in.. Still not bad for a years motoring.
And people say BMW`s are expensive to run.

Aye. very good price. They're expensive when they go wrong but if kept in good order no more expensive than any other!

Does anyone know what these guys charge per hour?

I'm after buying an N reg 318i that I think needs its power steering rack replaced (see my other post on the 3 series technical forum!) and the genuine part is £255 on Eurocarparts, I just wondered what the hourly rate from guys like this would be so I can decide whether to have money knocked off or what!

Thanks!
