I (and a few others on the 1 series forum) have had issues with the alarm where it goes off randomly and it is impossible to stop by turning off the interior sensors so the only way to stop the alarm going off was to leave the car unlocked since it sets the alarm automatically! As my car was out of warranty I thought I'd take a look, and chat to some other BMW owners. Although I got no clues from 1 series owners other cars had issues wht the bonnet switch so about £8 later I got one from the dealer and sure enough the one on the car was really stiff. That was about 3 months ago and no false alrams since then... Rob |
