I'll Start -

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.

We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing!

If you will indulge me a little my thought for the day involves a poem I wrote many years ago. I have occasionally been inspired to put things down in words  by my children and life around me in general. My own thought for the day is the footnote to the poem.

'Night Walks'

I'm sure we have a mouse dear, I've seen the signs,

Crumbs on the carpet, little noises in the night.

The biscuits are disappearing, even from the tin.

to slip inside the cupboard she must be very slim.

I know that she's a female, because she dropped her dolly.

At the bottom of the stairs, with a half eaten lolly.

I think perhaps some supper before she goes to bed,

will curb her little night walks, and the mouse will sleep instead.

And my thought for the day.

To truly love your children you must feed their minds and not just their bodies.

Steve.

A committee is a cul-de-sac down which ideas are lured and then quietly strangled.
