BMW X6 Tycoon by Hamann Motorsport

The Bmw X6 Tycoon makeover is the latest in a series of projects by the Laupheim-headquartered tuner Hamann-Motorsport. The designation comes from the culture of Japan and is a synonym for an extraordinary shape – an apt description of the X6! Hamann guarantees that Tycoon will not disappoint the expectations in its nomenclature.

Hamann made sure that the design and development of this Bmw crossover version, including its parts and accessories, mirrored the perfect form of the vehicle. New front wings and rear wing extenders made of light composite materials add to the masculine appearance of the Tycoon as well as causing the body to broaden by a remarkable 60mm. The side skirts offer an ideal visual link while the front apron is a sure head-turner with its gaping air vents and the LED daytime running lights beneath the serial headlamps. A three-part diffuser was added to the production apron and together with the rear and roof spoiler enhanced the looks of the Tycoon. More details and plenty of photos after the jump!

Hamann parts and components are not only well-designed, but also aerodynamic ensuring optimized air flow over the profile of the vehicle and provide extra downforce. The compatible wheel for the wide-bodied makeover X6 is the Design Edition Race Anodized wheels. The very light forged wheel comes with both nimbleness and refinement. The dynamics of the wheel is underscored by its black wheel star and titanium bolting. On the other hand, the brightly polished rim overhang provides a noble appearance. The wheels are 23 inches and come with rubber measuring 315/25 R 23. High performance chassis springs greatly improve the light alloys. Ride height is effectively lowered by a maximum of 40mm both at the front and rear axles. Hamann performance package options are as many as the Bmw engines themselves. The X6 xDrive35i receives an engine that generates 360 hp/265kW at 5230rpm with maximum torque rising 140Nm to reach 540Nm with rpm between 1300 and 5000 and speed has been raised from 250km/h to a remarkable 275km/h.

The diesel version also receives extra potency. The re-programming of the serial motronic caused the xDrive30d to generate 265PS/195kW and transfers an impressive torque of 600Nm to the crank. On the other hand the variant xDrive35d can squeeze out of the diesel car 320 PS/234KW and a remarkable 660Nm of torque at 2000rpm. Engine tuning kits are in the works and are already in the last phase of development. Furthemore, Hamann sport mufflers are adaptable to any performance package, with product range consisting of a dual-pipe and a quad-pipe exhaust system which give out a loud roar.

Hamann provides features from the highest quality aluminum such as pedals and foot rests that perfectly match the 12-part Hamann carbon fiber decoration set. The dashboard comes with a speed dial reaching 300km/h and a steering wheel that comes with three spokes adding to the sportive appearance of the Tycoon. The trunk features mat with a checkered decorative stitching complete with a logo stitch on.
