yeah, but blowers use engine power to work, tubbies don't. Though it would be better to have a smoother more consistent power delivery of the blower |

Turbo's will add to the back pressure of the exhaust which will still have a throttling effect on the engine which will sap it of power. |

Ahh.. I've done a little testing here too.. Actually the losses to drive an S/C is about the same as a turbo restricts the flow of the gasses, so horses for courses really. I have to say I prefer S/C's as they are much easier to map, but they do not give the shove in the rear the Turbo does. Having said that, S/C's dont tend to run out of ooomph at high RPM's and tend to run lower charge temperatures in comparison. Just my 2 pennies on what I found while testing both systems on the same engine Edited by SHEPSM3 |
