This saw a 2 day trip to Wales to work on this CSL
First I started to clean the wheels and soon realized the wheels needed removing to get fully clean as the inners were in a bad way from track use. Removal would also enable me to add several layers of protection too area's of wheels that would otherwise be hard to reach if applied whilst wheels are on vehicle. Wheel arches were cleaned with As G101 and surfex HD whilst wheels were removed Wheels before clean Wheels after being cleaned with a mixture of P21S Wheel Gel and Megs Wheel Brightner. Still alot of build up of stubborn tar and rubber, this was cleaned with Tardis and Clay bar After wheels were fitted back on vehicle recieved a foam with AG Powermax 3and worked into all panel gaps, crevices, badges, shuts and engine bay Vehicle was washed with megs Shampoo Plus and a lambswool washmit and clayed using Sonus green. Paint was inspected and measured which revealed a few area's had been resprayed. Whilst inspecting paint I found some deep scratches on bonnet which would need wet sanding to remove. You can just make the scratches located between the two lights These were wet sanded using Arablon 2000 & 4000 grit Sanding marks were then removed using 3M Fast Cut plus Correction was then carried out using Menz 3.02 on a Megs Polishing pad, some area's required 3M Fast cut plus Before After Before After Before After Before After Before After Before After Before After Tight area's were donre with a 4in pad and by hand Carbon fiber roof before After Lights before After After all correction work was done the paint was refined using 3M Ultrafina and a blue 3m Finishing pad. vehicle was then given a IPA widedown in preparation for 3 coats of zaino Z2. Inbetween layers little jobs such as dressing tyres, engine bay, cleaning windows and exhausts were carried out Zaino Z16 applied to tyres Engine bay dressed with 303 Some finished shots Some ouside shots.. very overcast today so these pics dont the finish any justice As always thanks for looking |
