E23 ventilation

   Hello
I always thaught the ventilation system is very poor and have found the reason. The previous owner (dick head) has broken off the nipple on the vacuum box, looks like 6 golf balls. Has any body got one for sale?  I may be able to fix using a tube connector and silicone filler. 
What part of the ventilation system does this vacuum tube connect to and is easy to get at?.  
The radio has been changed so could find under dash horror stories, I hope not.  MOT to-morrow should pass as it feels very good on the road and will have a beer to celibrate
