Removal of over spray

What is the easiest way to remove overspray from paintwork without doing any damage to the surrounding paint/laquer?

I'm sure an abrasive such as Tcut will do it but that will also remove the paint/laquer i want to keep!

Is it just a case of being very careful? 

Yeah a clay bar should do the trick.  Might take a bit of elbow grease right enough.

I used to use a clay bar with car shampoo as a lube but the quick detail Megs stuff is way better i.e. its easier to use.

Don't use TCut as it may affect the paint work underneath.

You wash the panel first so it is clean.  Dry it, spray on a lubricant then you rub the clay bar (about the size of a small bar of soap) over the panel.  The clay will remove tree sap and tar spots.  It is very very midly abrasive.  It works by removing the high spots on the panel, like tar spots or in your case overspray.

I would recommend that you buy the Meguiars quick clay out of Halfrauds as a good starting point in the world of claying.  This megs kit comes with a clay bar and a bottle of quick detailer which is used as the lubricant.  There is another megs clay kit which contains two clay bars, a bottle of quick detailer and a microfibre cloth.

Well I bought a Meguiars quick clay kit from Halfords on saturday and it did the trick. No more overspray.

Simple stuff to use as well and it didn't take as long as I was expecting.

I'm looking forward to using some on my new BMW, when I finaly find it
