1991cc, 150bhp, 0-60 slightly sub 10sec, economy >30 on a reasonable run. Smooth engine, well mannered car. Performance wont light up the world but lovely engine. Main handling difference compared to your coupe is that they roll a little more in a corner because the suspension isn't as stiff or the ARB as effective. One thing to watch is that a 320i of that era is likely to have a nikasil engine unless its been replaced. Its not necessarily a recipe for disaster but a couple of questions to discern any oil consumption issues would be advised. If its an Irish car (probably is, I think the 320i had been dropped in favour of the 323i in the UK at that point), there was a value pack offered on them at that time that threw in 15" alloys, a sunroof, etc, for about a grand. It was a bid to keep some interest in them in the run up to the launch of the e46. |
