In light of a current security exploit within Internet Explorer 6, 7 & 8
(see here)
I personally stick with Firefox as it is so easy to customize and never had any security issues with it in over 3 years.

Primarily I use Firefox - I've used it for ages and think it is definitely the best browser.

Some applications I use (a CMS system) were designed to be used under IE and don't work properly under FF, so I need to use IE occasionaly.

I've also tried Safari & Chrome - they're not bad, but still a bit buggy?

I use FF 3.6 (release candidate)
Though I find some bugs with FF, I can open multiple tabs and when I flick between them some go blank.

I hate IE and don't use it.

I also have Opera and rarely use it, Safari which I sometimes use if I get bugs with FF. Tried Chrome but removed it shortly afterwards.

I moved to FF on Neils recommendation after I couldn't log into this forum on IE. Never looked back! FF for me every time!

Have switched back to IE as most of our client DVR's only work in that and I'm too lazy to switch between the two!

I use Firefox now after it finaly started letting me login to this forum!

It's marginally better then internet explorer but there's not that much in it.

Internet Explorer on my PC, Opera on my phone.

Although I have to use the standard browser on my phone, whatever that is, to watch my TV sports package  (Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, Extra, News, ESPN and a couple of others  )

One thing I do like about FF is all the add-ons you can put on, unlike Safari which is pretty sterile.

Germany warned users on Friday after malicious code - implicated in attacks on Google - was published online.

But Microsoft told BBC News that IE8 was the "most secure browser on the market" and people should upgrade.

Cliff Evans, head of security and privacy, said that so far the firm had only seen malicious code that targeted the older version of its browser, IE6.

"The risk is minimal," he said.

For a web user to be affected, he said, they would have to be using IE6 and visit a compromised website.

"There are very few of them out there," he told BBC News.

Firefox all the way. My AOL software has too many issues, crashes etc and i.e. is ok but still not safe as you pointed out. Never ever had an issue with ff. (originally recommended by you Rob, nice one, never looked back!)
