Welcome to the forum!
By any chance had you your keys in your pocket and by any chance did you sit on them? Apparently its common enough!

Without knowing what car you have, I'm making an assumption that its a relatively new car.
Go out and hold the open button on the key fob for 5 or 10 seconds and what happens?
You should also have full closure when you hold down the lock button.

Well I'm a genius but lets not let my ego grow any further.

Anyhow, glad its probably that, that opened your windows and that you have learnt something new

Car locked and you hold down the unlock button i.e. with your @r$e when you sit on the key, then if it's like my E60 the windows will wind down.

If the car is unlocked and you have the windows all wound down, then by holding the lock button the windows should all close.
